Important message for suborbital providers
Dear Suborbital Providers,
The NASA Ames Commercial Suborbital Research Program wants to start a dialogue with you about the best way to work with you on issues of best practices regarding NASA research payloads and (eventually) NASA participants on your vehicle. We want to hear your suggestions and concerns.
Currently, NASA Ames has been tasked with putting together a working group to work to identify a path forward for facilitating best processes for NASA research payloads and eventually NASA participants onboard commercial suborbital vehicles. At the Program Office, we feel that this can only be accomplished with a good working relationship with industry and the potential providers involved in suborbital work.
As a preliminary step, the NASA Ames Commercial Suborbital Research Program is in the process of identifying potential working group advisors within NASA. It is our intention to include a representative from each of the following areas of expertise:
Working Group Lead
Operating Engineer
HQ Airborne Safety
Payload Interfaces
Investigators
Aeromedical
Extreme Environments
Commercial and Entrepreneurial
Commercial Suborbital Research Program POC
Please let us know if you have any preferred individuals with relevant expertise that you would like us to be aware of.
Would you be able to suggest some dates in March or April that a couple of us from the Program Office might be able to speak to you further on this matter? We would be willing to meet with you in person. Please let us know.
Sincerely,
Gregor Hanuschak, MBA
